This weekly publication was founded to honor my brother Tim’s memory and is designed to bring awareness to mental health maintenance. Each story submitted is from one of our clients and is dedicated to anyone who battles depression, anxiety, loneliness, addiction, etc. We sincerely hope these stories bring you joy and warm your heart as much as they do ours! Judah’s Story:
So, here I am in my 50’s, had just moved to another state for my job. I felt lonely, in a dark place and unhealthy. I always wanted a Dane, but had never pulled the trigger. I had found you and had been stalking your page for some time, when along came this beautiful boy that caught my eye and my heart! Green eyes and the softness fur ever, I had to have him! I name him Judah.
This boy loves me for me. I now have this handsome guy who needs me and who I take care of. He really takes care of me though, we walk every day, play soccer in the living room, fetch outside and tug.
He has enhanced my life right out of my gloom. He helps with laundry, dishes and cooking. I haven’t had a shower by myself in a year! I write a blog called “chronicles of Judah” that I share the new things he does and our times and funny things like his personality, he is such a back talker. He got kicked out of daycare because of his size. My vet says out of his 25 years in practice, Judah has the best Dane personality he’s ever seen! He walks up and wants to give kisses to everyone!
Judah has brought me so much joy I cannot stand to leave him for a minute. I am so thankful and blessed.
